The easiest way to place or update Fireworks HTML code into another HTML file on the same computer is by using File > Update HTML. When you place HTML in this manner, Fireworks updates the HTML code and JavaScript, and it also exports images referenced by that HTML so that they replace their previous versions.
To update Fireworks HTML placed in another HTML file:
1 | Choose File > Update HTML. |
2 | Navigate to the HTML file you wish to update and click Open. |
![]() |
Fireworks updates the HTML table or tables and JavaScript in the HTML document. Fireworks also exports the images and places them in the correct folder, as referenced in the HTML file you are updating.
If Fireworks cannot find matching HTML to update, it will give you the option of inserting the new HTML into the designated document. Fireworks inserts it into the file, placing the JavaScript section at the beginning of the document and placing the HTML table or link to the image at the end.
